Lian Li PC-Q28 Closer Look: Exterior

In this section we take a look at the exterior styling of the Lian Li PC-Q28 Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower PC Case.

The Lian Li PC-Q28 PC Case is made completely of aluminium and has a nice brushed finish. The case is not shiny but it is very reflective and it a pain in the butt to photograph. The PC-Q28 has a very unassuming stealthy look. The front panel (where you would expect an intake grill) is a blank canvas, broken only by the 5.25 inch drive bay, power button and case badge.

The side panels are even more featureless than the front panel. The only visible element being the six side panel screws.

A quick peek around the back of the Lian Li PC-Q28 gives us a good idea how the components will live together inside the system.

The right side of the PC-Q28 PC case has the front I/O connections. These ports (for me) would be better located on the opposite side of the case. If your PC sits on the right hand side of your desk (most likely) then this side of the case hidden from view.

The top of the Lian Li PC-Q28 PC case is in line with the rest of the case. the look only broken by the exhaust fan grill.

Looking under the Lian Li case we see four plastic feet and an intake air filter. The four screws you see here are the retaining screws for the bottom mounted hard drive rack located inside the case.

PC-Q28 is the best case I ever had 🙂
By removing distubing perforations in rear and side panels (in opposite to PC-Q08) it provides ideal airflow in combination with fanless PSU
