*see sig for specs

i was able to get a stable 3.5GHz (2.66GHz stock) overclock on my quad core. my voltage was set at 1.45V (1.275V stock) and i unlinked the fsb which was set at 1276 (1066 stock). memory was running at 893MHz but i actually set it to 900 (800MHz stock).

the ultra runs at 612 core and 1080 memory at stock. i was able to rev it up to 661MHz and 1155MHz stable (which is a little better than the superclocked ultra settings). i ran 20 minutes of nVidia's stability test via nTune. i also ran 3DMark06 a couple of times and passed all tests.

overall i was impressed with the ultra's o/c ability. the qx6700 required more voltage than i wanted to get it to my desired goal of 3.5GHz but i was happy to reach it. i'll continue to tweak settings and see if i can get a little bit more from my components.

dude overclocking ure core in respective with shader clock

this are the steps or core clock .... 648, 675, 680, 702 etc
this would give significant advantage
being inbetween them has no advantage
same goes with ure clocks for mem.

advice you to use atitools for scanning of artifacts
and rivatuner 2.04 which unlocked the shader clock... u got me there..
and everest to monitor shader clock and mem clocks...

also for overclocking try to run in sync with ure rams with the lowest timing..

13220 with a single 8800gts 320mb at 676/1055 (2110). Cpu Q6600 G0 3.78ghz.

I ran ati tools and 0 errors as well as i can go a little higher, Ill play with it tomorrow. Any advice on settings to play with is appreciated.

You both got me but I have a 320gts, so upwards is my only direction. Ill eventually net a new card after the first of the year.
BTW: Nice scores.

Hi, Check the shader ratios.

I prefer max shader with no artifacts followed by max core and then only I will overclock the memory of the graphic card. From your clocks you should state the shader clocks.

This is what i am running with the XFX 8800gts 320 mb 702/1728/2160.
Currently testing it and will post up the pros and cons of running at this speed. Will be doing some gaming benchmark to compare real world.

Also please give scores for the 3dmark06 feature test. This would truly show your cards potential with those overclocks. It would be a better comparison to GTX and HD2900xt.
Overclocking is meant to compensate a lower performance index so that it can perform better. The feature test will show this.

what are your settings for the cpu overclock? i can only run about 3.7 on the IP35 Pro...im using a Tuniq Tower with alot of airflow for cooling and it still gets REALLY hot.

Hi ak47,

Tuniq tower depends on pull/push config depending on your airflow from the front vents and the backplate fans. Depending on this then only you cool your proc efficiently. Cable management also plays apart.

1.What 12cm fan are you using??? Having a high cfm but not enough air circulation inside the case also affects your temperature

2.Strike a balance with your cpu and your graphic card. Most games are more gpu/bus speed/ram dependent rather than cpu. Clock your cpu enough to just to achieve the balance. 3.6ghz for a x1950xt is slightly overkill.
Just my 2 cents.
