At first glance, the Cooler Master Nepton 240M looks just like any other dual 120mm cooling solution. However, take a closer look at the specifications and you realize that this product is making some substantial performance claims. With a stated typical noise floor of 11 dB(A) and four times greater surface area than the competition, the Cooler Master Nepton 240M should produce some impressive results in comparison to other popular liquid cooling systems.
In this article, Benchmark Reviews looks at the new Cooler Master Nepton 240M all-in-one water cooling system to determine if it’s performance matches the claims. We compare performance for the Nepton 240M against two other popular dual-fan liquid coolers.

Hopefully they don’t have the same bearing issue that Corsair had with their version of this unit (H100)…

Hi,
Time will tell. I’m very impressed with the silence of the unit so far in a 24/7 system , so I’ll be listening for any developing rattling or squeaking.
BTW, I ran a Corsair H100 for 3 years without developing any bearing noise. The H100 is a good unit, but it’s stock fans run very loud under load.

I have a swiftech H220 in a long RMA and I’m thinking to buy the Nepton 240M. How is the H220 vs Nepton 240M ?

Hi Marco,
Looking at the H220 specifications, the two units appear to be similar in performance. You will notice the lower noise of the Nepton (6.5 dBA min) vs the Swiftech (16dBA min).
And the Nepton has a 5 year warranty vs the 3 years for the Swiftech. Overall the Nepton would be a great choice. I’ve been using it 24/7 with no issues.
Good luck!

Hi Marco,
Yes. The pump is inaudible even with the case open. All in all it’s a very quiet closed loop cooling system.
