It permits vocals and instruments to be recorded into DAWs such as the included Cubase LE, as well as enabling audio playback during live performance and easy connection to editing software. The TAC-2 can also be used to enhance the listening experience of users, allowing high-resolution streaming audio to be enjoyed in full fidelity.

The lightweight and portable TAC-2 has a simple user interface, with a single large rotary knob controlling all parameters. Two combo XLR/TRS input jacks allow the connection of mic- and line-level signals, and a handy front panel 1/4″ high impedance input is provided for the direct connection of instruments such as electric guitar and bass. 7-position LED metering is provided for input, output and headphone volume, and +48V phantom power can be applied to each input. Monitoring is available via dual balanced TRS outputs and a dedicated 1/4″ stereo headphone jack. The TAC-2 utilizes high-performance Burr Brown mic preamps and offers up to +60dB of amplification. It is compatible with all Thunderbolt-equipped Macintosh computers running OS X 10.6.8 or later.

“The TAC-2 redefines the state of the art in audio interface design,” said Eric Battin, Product Manager for Zoom North America. “We believe it will quickly become an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to take their audio to the next level.”

Zoom North America will be exhibiting at the 2014 NAMM Show in Hall C, Booth 4696. For more information, please visit www.zoom-na.com or contact Zoom North America at info@zoom-na.com
